THE ESSENCE OF MEDITATION AND SERENITY IN THE ROYAL MAQSURAH
The elevated royal pavilion, Bangla, was the most beautiful space within Bait El Mtoni Palace. It was a place of serenity, calm, and splendor, distinguished by its luxurious view of the ship Al Rahmani anchored in the enchanting waters of Zanzibar throughout the year.
Sayyid Said bin Sultan was accustomed to spending many hours alone in the Bangla, reflecting deeply on the affairs of his great empire and his loyal people. At times, he would also spend moments there enjoying Omani coffee with his wife and his grown sons.
The view from the Bangla was exceptionally magnificent and inspired reassurance, ambition, and purity of spirit.
