THE FRAGRANCE OF PRINCESS IN THE PRESENCE OF SULTAN
At Bait El Mtoni Palace, the daughters of the Sultan were honored each morning with a warm bath drawn from the well, after being gently awakened by soft, delicate, and indescribably soothing massages.
They would appear dressed in luxurious Omani garments upon which jasmine or orange blossoms had been scattered throughout the night and infused with musk and amber. Fully adorned in gold, silver, and fine jewelry, they prepared to greet their father, Sayyid Said bin Sultan. In doing so, the palace became immersed in the noble fragrance of women in the presence of the Sultan.
